CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fabric A:

• Cut 2 – 4 1⁄2” x WOF strips
  • Sub-cut 18 – 4 1⁄2” squares

BLOCK ASSEMBLY:

1. Lay out four HST Units and four Square-in-a-Square 4-Patch Unit A’s with a Fabric A 4 1⁄2” square as
   shown below.
2. Sew units together into rows. Then sew rows together to complete Block 1. Repeat to make a total of
   18 Block 1’s.
