CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS:
Fabric 1 light:
- Cut (6) 2-7/8” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (80)2-7/8” x 2-7/8” squares then cut each once diagonally into (160) HST.
Fabric 2 Contrast:
- Cut (3) 4-7/8” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (20)4-7/8” x 4-7/8” squares then cut each once diagonally into (40) HST.
Fabric 3 Dark :
- Cut (8) 2-1/2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (120)2-1/2” x 2-1/2” squares.
Fabric 5 Light :
- Cut (3) 4-7/8” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (20)4-7/8” x 4-7/8” squares then cut each once diagonally into (40) HST.
PIECING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Sew a 2-7/8” Fabric 1 HST to a 2-1/2” Fabric 3 square as shown. Press to square.
Sew a 2-7/8” Fabric 1 HST to two sides of a 2-1/2” Fabric 3 square as shown. Press to square.
Sew a 2-7/8” Fabric 1 HST to a 2-1/2” Fabric 3 square as shown. Press to square.
Matching seams, sew the units from steps 1,2, and 3 as shown. Press in the direction of the arrows.
Sew a 4-7/8” Fabric 2 HST to the left side and a 4-7/8” Fabric 5 HST to the right side of the unit from step 4. Press to large HST. Make (40) Block 4. Unit should equal 6-1/2” square.
