CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Fabric 1 light:

• Cut (4) 9-7/8” x 9-7/8” squares. Sub-cut each once diagonally into (8) HST.
• Cut (2) 3-1/4” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (20)3-1/4” x 3-1/4” squares then sub-cut each once diagonally into (40) HST.

Fabric 2 Contrast:

• Cut (2) 3-1/4” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (20)3-1/4” x 3-1/4” squares then sub-cut each once diagonally into (40) HST.
• Cut (8) 3-1/8” x 3-1/8”. Sub-cut each once diagonally into (16) HST.

Fabric 6 Main print:

• Cut (4) 5-3/8” x 5-3/8” squares. Sub-cut each once diagonally into (8) HST.

PIECING INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Make (40) HST units with the 3-1/4” Fabric 1 and Fabric2 HSTs. Press to Fabric 2. Trim to 2-3/4” square.

Sew (2) Fabric 1/2 HST units together as shown. Make (8) Right HST sets. Press in the
direction of the arrows. Unit should equal2-3/4” x 5”.

Sew (3) Fabric 1/2 HST units together as shown. Make (8) Left HST sets. Press in the direction of the arrows. Unit should equal 2-3/4” x 7-1/4”.

Sew a Right HST set to the right short side of a 5-3/8” Fabric 6 HST. Press to Fabric 6.

Sew a left HST set to the left short side. Press to Fabric 6.

Sew a 3-1/8” Fabric 2 HST to each end of the unit as shown. Press to small HST.

Sew a 9-7/8” Fabric 1 HST to the unit from step 6. Press to fabric 1. Make (8) Block 1. Block should equal 9-1/2” square.
