CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS:
Fabric 1 light:
- Cut (3) 3-1/2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (32) 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” squares.
- Cut (1) 4-1/4” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (8) 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” squares, then sub-cut twice diagonally into (32) Quarter-square triangles(QST).
Fabric 3 Dark:
- Cut (2) 3-7/8” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into (16) 3-7/8” x 3-7/8” squares then sub-cut each once diagonally into (32) HST.
Fabric 4 Small print:
- Cut (1) 3-1/2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut into (8) 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” squares.
Fabric 5 Light:
- Cut (1) 4-1/4” x WOF strip. Sub-cut into (8) 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” squares, then sub-cut twice diagonally into (32) QST.
PIECING INSTRUCTIONS:
Sew a 4-1/4” Fabric 1 QST to a 4-1/4” Fabric 5 QST as shown.Press to Fabric 5. Make (4).
Sew a 3-7/8” Fabric 3 HST to this QST unit. Press to Fabric3.Make (4) QST/HST units.Unit should equal 3-1/2”.
Layout (4) QST/HST units, (4) 3-1/2” Fabric1 squares and (1) 3-1/2” Fabric 4 square as shown. Sew patches across then sew rows together. Press in the direction of the arrows.Make (8) Block 3. Block should equal 9-1/2”.
